along this road ahead of us.

After the
wedding a lunch will be served. The menu will include
Shish-ka-Bob (pork), Shish-ka-Lyuda (beef),
Shish-ka-Tonya (chicken) and fried rice.
If you do not like romantic music, bring ear plugs. A grille
will be fired up with simple fixin's for those who prefer
burgers.
Bring your
swim suit if you want to swim in the 70 degree water that
afternoon. It is cold when you first get in, but even a
southerner can stand 70 degrees once you are submerged. The day
will be hot and there will be no rain.
The swim to
the spring is in shallow water (3-4 feet)
and takes 5 minutes. At the springs the water widens and is
deep. Inner tubes can be rented for those who want to paddle and
float to the Blue Spring. A free dive to 18 feet will put you at
the level of a large log that lays over the flowing spring.
Bring some
cash if you want to take a St. Johns River tour by tourist boat.
I think a cruise leaves at 1:00 PM.
A boardwalk
stroll of less than a mile will take you past 10 viewing areas
and ultimately to the spring where you will see the swimmers.
You will definitely see fish, including large gars. If you are
lucky you will see an alligator, but don't worry about being
eaten if you choose to swim. Blue Spring State Park has had
hundreds of thousands of visitors and no one has been bitten by
an alligator. Gators prefer the warmer, darker water downstream
from the spring.

Wedding gifts...
Gifts are
not required, especially from my point of view (Bob
speaking). In both America and Russia wedding gifts are a
custom for young couples who are starting out their lives. We
are not exactly in that category, but Lyuda is registered with
Dillards.
