About NORMI

FRAP is our First Responders Awareness Program where NORMI members are trained to give a one-hour training presentation to firefighters, paramedics, and other first responders to educate them on the hazards of dealing with mold and other biological contaminants. It is a way for NORMI members to give back to their community on a volunteer basis (trainings are FREE to the first responders; consequently, they are eager to have us come in). Typically, the trainer then becomes the “go to” person when someone has questions about air purification or other contamination. Della White has found it extremely helpful and has sold several units as a result of the two trainings she has done.

From the Mold School Instructor

"In many cases -- probably upwards to 80% or more of the homes we are in -- an Indoor Air Quality/Mold Inspection is performed and more -- remediation is unnecessary. Treatment by air purification is less expensive, less invasive, and less destructive to the home or office. Once the Certified Inspector determines the extent of the IAQ/Mold problems, he may legitimately suggest an air purification protocol and assist his client in expediting the solution. By partnering with the homeowner to establish a lifestyle that substantially reduces the possibility of proliferating IAQ/Mold problems, a healthier environment is established and maintained for the homeowner and his family."

NORMI and EcoQuest PV/QV

Normi/EcoQuest $50 voucher

Effective 12/3/2007...two NORMI educational programs have PV and QV:

QST Online Course....................................$149..........10 QV / 10 PV
Taught by "correspondence" (i.e. Online), this Qualified Sampling Technician (QST) home study course will train you on the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Management Program to survey, sample and solve IAQ problems for clients. Learn to take air and surface samples and order lab results. As a retailing system, QST is designed to serve the needs of professional and commercial clients.

Certified Mold Inspector Course.........$249..........50 QV / 50 PV
This "live program" (taught in a Classroom) covers the problems of mold, how to evaluate the indoor environment using mold testing, and how to offer solutions to sanitize environments and solve mold problems.  This eight-hour class has been popular among business owners who want a system for selling more product built around the hot topic of mold.

Either course will help prepare individual Business Owners to be more effective as marketers. These courses also serve the needs of leaders. Survey your group and your candidates to determine which course could be of benefit to each individual. Sometimes a training event can be the key to sponsoring or reactivating someone important.

It might be possible to extend this offer to your people. "If you order a Master Business Owner Success Pack I will help you get started by covering the tuition for one of these courses."

Testimonial From a NORMI Graduate

I really enjoyed the Certified Mold Inspector training. I am a mostly inactive EcoQuest Sales Manager. However, I do love to teach, and have taught Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) seminars occasionally. I have a Master's level science education. I took the course to increase my understanding about mold and acquire some new materials for the seminars I offer. These seminars also open doors for air purification sales.

Now I am more convinced before that my NORMI training will open doors, create an additional income stream, and put me in a position to be able to help people in a more thorough way.

I am also excited about the potential of the First Responders Awareness Program (FRAP).  A few years ago I purchased a mailing list from the State Fire Marshall's Office of all the fire chiefs/departments in New Hampshire. I want to advertise the FRAP to all of them. This could be of considerable help in my goal of becoming the "most asked for" IAQ specialist in the state.

How do I obtain the FRAP training? I passed the CMI test on Monday (1 wrong, darn it), and will try to get my first inspection done ASAP.  I just wrote my dealer organization, informing them of my CMI training, and asking them to help me find inspection candidates.

Thanks for the help.  Have a great day, and God bless.
