Today is _____(date)_____. I am ________________ (say something about yourself in one simple sentence -- i.e. "48 years old and feeling ambitious and excited")________________. A few days ago I started reading a little 40-page book, and it's already starting to change my life. It has motivated me to write and edit this approach letter and some preliminary goals.

I have ordered copies of the book so I can share it with you and others. It tells about a small company from Tennessee that does $100 million in sales but is destined to do billions. This company makes the only product in the world that has proven through peer reviewed studies to kill, with 99+% effectiveness, things like MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), Staphylococcus and Avian Influenza.

This product began as an air purifier and now, through these studies, is also rated as a surface purifier. This morning I read an amazing story from Elton Tucker who collapsed with emphysema in his early fifties and finally got relief from his suffering three years later when he put this product in his home to purify the air. Next month he will be seventy. He's alive and well and making money as a dealer for this product.

That brings us to me and you. Imagine how lucky I am, at age ____, to have found my final career! I've read the book, and I'm going to do this successfully, no matter what. I'm going to sell this company's products to homeowners and businesses, and I'm going to recruit other dealers. Based on information in the book, I have selected a role model I can relate to.

Can I send you the little book? If you could find a career that would pay $200,000 to $500,000 per year and be really ideal for your family, would that be a good thing? If you could move into that career without having to disrupt your present job, wouldn't that make it very comfortable? If you could help people and save lives, wouldn't that be good?

All that EcoQuest offers is yours for the asking, and you'll also have my help. Here's a declaration I learned from the little book: "I don't know much right now because this is my first day. But I promise you: I will learn more and become more and more valuable as your sponsor. Throughout your career I will be here to help."

The book I refer to is called Welcome Home! The cover says, "You are one decision away from the world's most desirable place to work -- Welcome Home!"

(insert a statement about how you found EcoQuest or how it found you)

My goals are just taking shape. I will not get carried away and claim I am going to do more than is possible, but here goes:

1. I'm going to offer Home Assessment Reports and free air demos at the rate of 15 per week. In other words, that's how many approaches I'm going to make. I'll work by referral and I expect about half of my approaches to lead to demos. That should lead to 3 sales per week and an income of $500 to $1,000 per week. I'll have to earn money at this rate for a couple of months to get my operating budget covered, but by November I will be making an excellent living. For a new business, that's remarkably fast.

2. I'm starting my prospect list today, ________________. Before I go to bed I will have a list of 70 friends, neighbors, relatives, schoolmates, etc. By each name I will fill in their phone, address, email and occupation. Why am I covering this detail? Because I am programming my mind to do it right. Starting tomorrow, I will add at least 10 new entries to my list every day for 30 days. In other words, by the ________(date)________ I will have at least 370 names in my spiral notebook.

3. I will recruit people through individual interviews and home meetings. My goal is to find one really capable person per week...and I'll try to get ahead of this one-per-week pace if at all possible.

4. There is a picture on page 38 of the little book of a Master Business Owner Success Pack. It has 13 air units and a demo box. That will be my startup purchase. Those units will be on hand in about 10 days so I can make demos and sales.

5. I'm going to enlarge and refine my goals as I get some experience under my belt.

Now to you..... Are you interested? Will you talk to me? Would you like to read the little book? Will you let me do a home assessment for you? Will you give me some referrals? And what do you think of this letter?

Sincerely and enthusiastically,

Your Name if you agree with and will commit to all of this
