Overview
Heartland Select's
compensation plan depends on [1] total
organizational volume, [2] network width (Legs), [3]
the strength of the Legs, and [4] recruiting (for
Builder Bonuses).
Volume is
measured in points, which accrue monthly based on
the numbers and size of all orders (from customers
and distributors) within the network.
A case of Heartland Select
(50 two-ounce servings, $139 plus shipping) generates a point credit of 100 in the
month the order is placed.
Orders from
all ranks and to an infinite number of levels count toward bonus calculation.
On a month by month basis,
distributors must be on Autoship for 1 case of
Heartland Select or 100 points in other products to
be eligible for bonus earnings.
Rank requirements
must also be met.

Two Bonuses Covered
in One Panel
Compensation
from each new distributor is governed by a "Builder" formula for three calendar months. The
Builder months are the month of sponsorship (even
if the new distributor signs up on the last day)
and the next two calendar months.
Builder
bonuses of 40%, 10%, and 10% are paid
upline
to the first three "bonus qualified" distributors.
In the scenario
where a new distributor immediately goes on Autoship
(and
stays on)
for one case of Heartland Select, the Enroller earns
$40 three times or $120. A recruiter's earnings will
be higher or lower based on the points of the actual
orders during these months.
If a recruiter
(Enroller) does the recruiting work and "inserts" a
new distributor under someone else (the Sponsor),
the Enroller gets the 40% Builder Bonuses.
The Enroller's
two qualified uplines get the 10% and 10% bonuses.
The Sponsor and
the Sponsor's uplines get the future value of that
recruit after the Builder Bonus period.
In most cases
the Enroller and Sponsor are one and the same
person. However, some prolific recruiters believe in
"placing" (synonymous with the term "inserting") new
distributors under others as a technique for
building their groups. Other leaders cite the "teach
a man to fish" philosophy and require each networker
to build his or her own group.
The Builder
Bonus
Pool is funded by 2% of the company's Builder
points. On a month by month basis, this pool is
shared by all recruiters (Enrollers) who personally
recruit 5 or more new Autoshippers. An Enroller who
recruits 10 Autoshippers gets two shares,
and more shares are earned for each increment of 5.
How big might
this bonus be? This webmaster's analysis concludes that it might
be $150 per share. Three months of recruits will
make up each Pool*. This webpage will be updated as
experience dictates.
* Explanation (example)—In
August 2009 the Bonus Pool will be base on August
order only, but those order could be from people who
were recruited in June or July or August. That's why
I say three months of recruits will make up each
Pool.

Uni-level Bonuses
(#4)
go back
to list of all bonuses |
Beginning
with each new distributor's fourth month and
forever thereafter, the monthly points fund a
plan that pays 5% on 3 to 10 levels. Each bonus
qualifier's earnings are based on his Star rank
and on the structure of his network.
Full
compression applies, which has this effect:
Inactive people or non bonus qualifiers do not
count as a level. The system closes rank.

Enroller
(#5)
Matching Bonuses
go back to
list of all bonuses |
This is easy to
understand once you understand what an Enroller is.
When you
generate a prospect and bring him into Heartland
Select (in
other words, you do the recruiting work),
you instruct that recruit to put your name as the
Enroller on the sign-up screen. In most cases, your
name will also be entered as Sponsor.
If you want to
"place" that person somewhere else in your network,
you instruct your new person to put a different name
in the Sponsor position. This person is called the
Sponsor; but you will always be the Enroller.
That's why the
Matching Bonus can be hugely significant. The
computer adds up the Uni-level earnings of all
Heartland distributors where you are designated as
the Enroller. Based on your rank, you earn 10%, 15%,
or 20% times that number.
This Matching
Bonus is a recruiter's dream. Some talented
recruiters in Heartland will do a certain amount of
"stacking" to try to build strong legs. That's not
the best way to build strong legs, but I can
understand that they will be eager to have 5 legs at
10,000 points so they can max out the rank
structure. Beyond that, stacking just doesn't make
financial sense or strategic sense.
The Matching
Bonus works whether a new person is on your First
Level or many levels down. If the combined Uni-level
payroll of your Enrollees is $50,000 you will make
$120,000 a year whether that payroll results from
having 5 large producers or 150 small producers.
Strong leaders
are few and far between. They develop when people do
their own work, not when they are "built" by a hot
upline recruiter. Doing one's own work builds
character, experience, credibility, and self
worth...all of which are supremely valuable.
Moreover, it is ultimately important to have leaders
under leaders under leaders. The best recruiter in
the world can't do that alone. It only comes from
having the right philosophy and working in depth
with true leaders, not artificial leaders.
The superstars
who max out this plan will probably be good
recruiters. My guess is that tomorrow's biggest
success story will be someone who personally
recruits 10 people per month, puts most of them on
his first level, inspires others to do the same, and
keeps his system going for 2 or 3 years.

James & Jennifer Clendenin, [3]
Dorothy Brodine, [4]
Bill & Mattie Perry, [5]
Joyce Hodges, [6]
Michelle Giddens, [7]
Marvin Jackson, [8]
Judi Klug, [9]
Karen & Les Schwelling, and [10]
Nanci Kincaid each earn $5,000 per month from
the Uni-Level part of their Heartland Select
business...
In this futuristic scenario each of these
leaders would have 1,000 people ordering 1 case
of product. In reality, these groups are far
from being equal. Some will generate more than
1,000 cases and others will do less. There will
also be other legs where I am the Enroller.
If the combined Uni-Level payroll is $50,000 per
month, my matching bonus would come to $10,000
or $120,000 per year.

|
This bonus is received at each
level, but once only. It is a popular concept
because just about everyone looks ahead and
imagines the joy of receiving a one-time $15,000
lump bonus.
A new person could move all the
way from zero to 7 Star in less than a year and
collect over $20,000 in all. By that time, the
income from other bonuses might be generating
$10,000 per month or more...and with unlimited
room for growth.
The name of the game is to get
lots and lots and lots of very dedicated people
on these products.
The wider your group, the better
because the ultimate potential is higher. But
depth and strength are also important.
Ultimately, the best measure of
your success will be the number of leaders you
have. Leaders make the world go around in every
human activity.

|
|
I'll be
frank with my readers. In my opinion, this is
the least important bonus in the plan. It could
add $1,000 a month to a nice sized group and
that's enough to cover a nice car payment. So
there's nothing wrong with the Infinity Bonus.
But it's not a bonus that will inspire a person
to become great.
|
|
|
|
|
Let's say the company is
doing 4 million points per month. The 3% All
Star Bonus Pool will be $120,000. If the 20
top producers in the company earn 40
shares...each share will be worth $3,000.
An 8 Star producer would
collect $3,000 for the month.
A 9 Star producer would
collect $6,000 for the month.
A 10 Star producer would
collect $12,000 for the month.
