New dealer asks:

How can I make $3,000 per month?

Two ways...

 

As a retailer, you can earn $3,000 by selling 12 Fresh Air purifiers per month. This will put $3,000+ profit in your pocket.

 

You will need to order two 6-Clips of units per month. (Cost = $5,246 as a new dealer; Margin = $3,142 profit). Following your first 12-unit order, you will be promoted to Master Dealer; your cost will decrease, and your profit will be more. You will then be able to purchase two Clips for $4,850 (increasing your profit to $3,540)! You do not need to order both Clips at once. But in order to get the better pricing, you will need to order 12 units in one calendar month to promote to Master Dealer. You’ll be selling 3 Fresh Airs per week.

 

This is based exclusively on your own work. In addition to a certain upfront cost, you must sell 3-4 machines per week. Many people across the country do this.

 

The way to achieve this—and it’s certainly no secret—is to contact large numbers of people. A STRONG salesperson may be able to contact half a dozen qualified prospects and sell 3-4 units per week. But don’t bet on being strong until you have some results under your belt. 

 

Bob Giddens sold 1 machine for every 10 attempts he made. Could you make 30-40 attempts per week? We're talking about attempts, not appointments. Bob got shot down more than 60% of the time: No appointment. Once he got permission to do a demo, he was able to sell 1 in 3 or 1 in 4.

 

Network building. By introducing this business to others, you can earn on what your group orders, to add to your retail profits. The path to reaching $3,000 per month by the end of the year again begins with approaches.

 

Memorize this Magic Question. “Jim, if I could show you how to make $150,000 per year, not just one year but every year for the rest of your life, and if you could LOVE the work, would you give me a 30-minute appointment to show this to you, and would you consider doing such a business as your full time career?”

 

This question sets up the prospect to hear what you want him to hear. He can say yes, no, maybe, or anything else. But his mind will be thinking along the right channels.

 

You probably need to complete 5 appointments per week (30 minutes or more per appointment)—as a minimum—to reach your $3,000 income goal. And you’ll have to learn now to give a decent presentation. We will help you learn this skill. No problem.

 

Results are not optional. You have to get new people on the dotted line each week. Make it happen through personal recruiting and it can happen through network recruiting. If it’s not working for you, figure out why. Are you leaving out the magic question? Are you talking to the wrong people? Are you setting appointments? Are people standing you up? Is your presentation concise and effective? Are you asking them to join? If not, what can you change? Are you attending meetings, listening to conference calls, and reading EcoQuest materials?

 

Next it boils down to teaching and leading your people to follow in your footsteps. Leading is the biggest part and the hardest part of EcoQuest, but when you master this skill, you will be unstoppable. Teach half a dozen key people to retail a 3-clip per month (added to your own retailing and business from your stragglers—a machine here, a machine there, etc.) and you will achieve your goal in short order. The hardest part is to get those half dozen MAJOR people. Make MAJOR PEOPLE the focus of your recruiting campaign.

 

Good people can be reached by using the 10-Step method that is outlined in your business manual ... and by always using the Magic Question. Ten Stepping involves talking to 2 new candidates per day and inviting them to view the Business Opportunity DVD. This will get you started and it will help your family, friends and business acquaintances learn about your new business.

 

I also recommend a “Business Opening” event to invite people to your home to see your new business. Don’t be shy! Call 30 people or more. Invite them with your eyes and words, not by email! In-home meetings are one of the best mechanisms for introducing the business to both friends and strangers.
