Four Minute Mile The Concept:
The Four Minute Mile (4MM) is a scripted presentation of "Everything About
EcoQuest" in 4 minutes. It can include company information, product
information, testimonials (legal ones only), your personal story, how money
is made, support that is available, and how to get started.
Yes, quite a lot can be said in 4 minutes.
Scripts must be submitted for approval. If all is in order (especially the
legal stuff), I will ask you to read your script at the opening of one of our
Training Calls on Wednesday night. Potentially, several Four Minute Milers would
be allowed to present their script during the two-and-a-half day event. This
would be based on Doug Jackson's evaluation of your script. It's very hard
to break in to the limited circle of speakers. Here's your opportunity!
Preparing a Four Minute Mile is an excellent self-training exercise. It helps you concentrate your thoughts and sharpen your communications skills. Not all scripts are accepted. Remember the purpose: It is a presentation to someone new. Be sure to cover enough bases that a new person will understand what you are talking about. Do not dwell excessively on yourself. Tell them about EcoQuest. A sample 4MM follows.

Four Minute Mile April 2004 by Daniel McGuire
Hello, my name is Daniel McGuire. I’m a recent Fast Start Distributor with EcoQuest International. I was introduced to EcoQuest by my son Shannon around Christmas 2003. I was happily retired for 11 years, involved in ministry and I wasn’t looking for a new career opportunity. I started in this business to help my son.
I evaluated this opportunity and compared my values in life to the life values of Mike Jackson, the President and CEO of EcoQuest, and I found harmony and family. I found an opportunity to meet the physical, financial, and spiritual needs of people everywhere. I see servant leadership, unique and powerful products, a strong 18-year old company, outstanding training and development, and the best business opportunity that I have ever seen. I heard a very prominent executive say that he has evaluated with precision many companies and that he joined EcoQuest International because it is the best.
I started my quest by reviewing my goals and my life purpose. My life and all that I do is committed to God, to know Christ and to make Him known, to find faithful men who will teach others. I am to be as inventive as I can be in encouraging love and helping out, to gather together to worship and spur each other on. This is how I serve. I became so excited when I understood how my life purpose can be fulfilled in EcoQuest.
The products have enhanced my life. I sleep better with FRESH AIR. My osteoarthritis is under control with the help of InfiAid. The Enzyme Diet (TED) is helping me shed pounds. I plan to install the SpringHouse water system in my home to give me clean, healthy, living water.
This is a strong 18-year old company with over 5 million Living Air purifiers sold. We are the world leader in the development and sale of filterless, electronic air purifiers. We use nature’s way of cleaning air outside in the technology we use to clean the air inside.
The timing is right for the indoor air quality industry. The EPA cites indoor air pollution as one of the highest ranking environmental health problems facing America today. Our competitors’ advertising is making the public more aware of the need for healthy indoor air. The new proprietary technology (SynAirG5) in our new “Fresh Air” product line places us light years ahead of any competitor.
The business plan allows anyone to be successful as a retailer, a manager, and/or a career leader. They have made it possible for you to enter this business for $35 and to earn $500 to $1,000 or more in a week or month working part time.
My goal is to be a Sales Manager by August 1, 2004. The training, development, and support that are available empower me to be successful. I use the Lifeline and training teleconference calls to receive training and to train others. I have opportunity meetings in my home twice a month. As I work hard and move into management I will receive free company travel, a free company luxury car, and bonus dollars: all for helping others become successful. Isn’t that wonderful? I get to serve others and receive a reward, too. The average monthly income for a Qualified Sales Manager is over $6,000. In saying this, I am asked to point out that the term “Qualified” refers only to Sales Managers who have four producing downline legs. I understand there are Managers who have smaller groups, whose results are not factored into that average. I can live with that but I plan to do better because I want to help a lot of people.
The Success Institute in March helped me see the reality of this opportunity. I was impressed when I saw Mike Jackson’s life purpose on the wall in the entry for all to see. I recommend this experience to everyone. It gets you close to the people. I heard and understood the heart of the leaders. I saw the president’s home, the international office, the production facilities, and the stars (EcoQuest's employees). It brought home to me that I am in business for myself but not by myself.
My wife Makiko told me she is inspired by the passion that I have for this business. She is now standing by my side as we move forward together to influence the lives of many people.
