Alphabetical Food Benefits Chart Comments about this chart and how to use it I don't know the source of this chart and the comments at the end. A web contact was provided in the email from which this was copied but it did not confirm a scientifically credible source. The chart appears to have good information (some of which you will already be aware of) but it may be based partly on folklore. Folklore can be incredibly good. It can also be wrong or distracting (distracting in the sense that it might cause some people to delay seeking competent health advice). Take this, as they say, with a grain of salt. Most people/families do not readily make changes to their diets. We are all held captive by our habits, our family traditions, and our likes and dislikes. Read through the list with these thoughts in mind: ? Are there some fruits or vegetables I should use more of? Just a few small changes might be worth trying. ? Should I try to put more emphasis on fruits and vegetables in general? While I'm at it, should I try to eat more of them raw? ? Am I faithfully using Essentials For Life (along with other Infinity2 supplements) and Heartland Select as supplements to make up for my deficiencies and bad habits? ? Are there other people who would benefit from seeing this material? You can send this link by email: www.chippynews.com/foodchart.htm. Hopefully they will follow some of the links and learn even more. When you read saves eyesight (broccoli), helps stop strokes (avocados) or aids digestion (chili peppers), remember that these are generalizations. Other risk/benefit factors may be—and probably are—more significant in any given case.
7 don'ts after a meal no documentation provided on any of these points Don't smoke - Experiments done by experts (no documentation provided) proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer are higher). Don't eat fruits immediately - Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit one to two hours before or after a meal. Don't drink tea - Tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the protein content of your meal to be hardened thus difficult to digest. Don't loosen your belt - This change after a meal can cause the intestine to be twisted and blocked. Don't bathe - Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs and body; thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach. Don't walk about - People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live 'till 99. This is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake. Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric and infection in our intestine. |
