This is quite an achievement, and I want to congratulate our
downline, and especially Sergio, Clifford, and my father Ed, for

Hello EcoQuest Leaders,
This is to advise you of two regulatory issues, Direct Selling Licensing,
and the upcoming change in the GST/HST rates.
Direct Selling Licensing
This is to inform you that we will be sending letters to our new Business
Owners in the provinces that require Business Owners to register themselves
as direct sellers. Detailed information will be in the letter for your
province and where you can obtain the registration. This does not apply to
British Columbia, or Ontario.
GST/HST Rate Change
As you are aware, the GST/HST will be lowered effective July 1st, 2006 and
require some transition. Following is the General Transition Rules and how
it impacts your business.
If GST becomes payable, or is paid before July 1, 2006, the current
rate of 7 % GST (15% HST) will apply.
If GST becomes payable on or after July 1, 2006, without having been
paid before that day, the reduced rate of 6% (14%) will apply.
If GST is paid on or after July 1, 2006, without having become
payable before that day, the reduced rate of 6% (14%) will apply.
GST/HST generally becomes “payable” the earlier of (a) the day that payment
is made, and (b) the date that you or EcoQuest issues an invoice. There are
provisions that prevent you from unduly delaying the issuance of an invoice
though, so care should be taken here.
On a business note:
Our Canada Warehouse operation is now running smooth and you should be
getting your technology products quickly. Our records show that products are
shipped 1-2 days in Ontario and close by provinces, 3-4 days in other
provinces. This is quite an improvement from 6-7 days or even two weeks at
times. We continue to strive to help expedite and reduce time-in-transit on
your purchases.

Health care companies sign deal
MANAMA: Saudi-based Health
Care Solution Establishment (HCS) company has
been appointed an associate dealer of EcoQuest
International air-purification products in Saudi
Arabia.
A memorandum of
understanding was signed between Bahrain-based
EcoQuest International sales manager Hugh
Sylvester and HCS president and of M M Mahmood
Al Saeed's Trading Establishment (MMMST)
vice-president M M Mahmood Naina.
MMMST, which is marking
its 50th anniversary this year, has offices in
Bahrain and the UAE with expansion planned in
Kuwait, Oman and Qatar.
HCS is making available a
unique range of patented
EcoQuest International
air-purification products in Saudi Arabia and
has associate dealers in Bahrain and the UAE.
Fresh Air units have been installed across
Bahrain, at industrial plants, a university, a
sports complex, hospitals, hotels, nightspots
and restaurants as well as corporate offices and
villas.

does not ship directly overseas to countries that are not yet open for
MLM marketing. If John Dealer places an order for France, he
will need to go through the International Development Department.
EcoQuest will ship the product to a US address and it will be Dealer's responsibility to forward the product overseas. The only
time he will need to have a Tennessee State Tax ID number is if he
physically come to EcoQuest and picks the items up. Please

This home office group works
directly with our international offices concerning all aspects of their
business. The group assists the international offices in processing shipments,
processing Dealer applications, and downline accounting. This group also works
with US and other international Dealers to assist with international business
questions.

Can I sign up a Dealer in a

We often are asked to expand
our business and network in countries where our support systems do not exist. We
want to be successfully globally and not be part of failure due to moving too
fast. It takes more than the financial commitment to be successful. Legal bases
and product compliance issues must be covered. With that in mind, EcoQuest
International has made a short-term decision to halt sponsoring into countries
other than those listed above.
A US Dealer can sponsor
someone from any open country
(scroll
down to see if your country of interest is listed).

How do I sign up a Dealer
from one of the opened countries?
To sponsor someone from
Canada, sign them Online using your EcoQuest web site. Or use a Canadian
Dealer Agreement and either fax (423-638-7561) or mail to EcoQuest
International in the US.

Signing
up a Dealer in the
UK is a little different. Although the details are on the UK website, I’d
like to take the time to go through the steps for everyone...which I
am sure can only serve to help and guide.
There
are two ways to register a new Dealer in the
UK. Both MUST use a UK Dealer Agreement
form, and NOT a US form. ‘Post in’
(send by mail) a signed Dealer Agreement with full payment of £30.00
pounds Sterling (payment in pounds can be done by credit card). Faxed forms are NOT permitted in the UK.
Once the Dealer Agreement is
received, we register the applicant with Greeneville, and send off the
Business Kit with new Dealer details.
Electronic sign-up through the UK website will become part of our International website.
If this
option is used, on receipt of this electronic email with the applicants
details and payment by either MasterCard or Visa, we send out an original
Dealer Agreement form enclosed within the applicants Business Kit. This
original form MUST be signed
and returned to the
UK (by mail) before we can register the
applicant with Greeneville.
On receipt, the applicant is registered, and
his new Dealer number and details are confirmed by mail.
Although
a New Dealer may well be sponsored by an existing Dealer, under
UK law,
the applicant MUST sign and return an original
Dealer Agreement form personally, and submit this to the
UK
office before he can be registered.
We are
frequently approached by our USA Team as to how this process works over
here. Please direct these questions to the International Group and
Lori Keasling in Greeneville. They
are aware of the requirements and procedures.

If I sponsor a Dealer from
one of the opened countries, will I earn PV/QV from their sales?
Yes. The PV/QV from your
downline’s international orders will count towards your group volume the same as
if they are one of your US downline dealers.
Can a US Dealer place an
order for a customer in one of the opened countries?
If you have a Canadian
customer, the order can be placed through the EcoQuest International Order Dept.
or through Online ordering. Only Canadian specific units can be shipped to
Canada. Any applicable taxes will apply when the order is placed.
US Dealers cannot order
products for U.K. customers unless the Dealer has a registered tax number in the
United Kingdom.
In regards to ordering for
customers in Australia, New Zealand, and Taiwan, contact the appropriate
international office for more information as their rules vary.
Whom do I contact if I have
questions about ordering products for an unopened country?
Contact the EcoQuest
International Business Development group at 1-866-876-1780 or
intldevelopment@ecoquestintl.net. This Dept. answers any questions you may
have about the international business, sales, and orders.
I want to sell products in
an unopened country. Is that possible?
EcoQuest is not promoting
retail sales in any country that has not been officially opened. We want to be
successful globally and not be a part of failure due to moving too fast. Our
goal is to insure that support can be provided within a country before
dealer-based growth and active retailing are pursued.
Does EcoQuest ship direct to
unopened countries?
EcoQuest does not ship
to an unopened country through the open order system. If a Dealer wants
to send an international product to someone in a country that has not yet
officially opened, the order must be placed through the International Business
Development Department. We will ship approved products only to a US address and
the Dealer is responsible to forward at his own risk. Only products meeting
compliance standards will be shipped.
What are the prices of the
products for the opened countries?
All Canadian orders are in
US dollars. Contact the Order Dept. or view the Online ordering feature for
pricing information.
The pricing for products
purchased from our international offices is listed in the applicable currency
for that country. Contact the appropriate office for a price list.
What is the lead time for
the international units?
The international units are
considered as special order items with a possible lead time of 4-6 weeks.
What is the warranty for the
international units?
There is limited warranty
coverage for one year. The unit must first be returned to the Dealer in the US
before an RMA number will be issued for repair. If someone in Australia, New
Zealand, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, or Ireland has a question about repairing a
product, he should contact the office that represents their country. If someone
in Canada needs a repair, contact the EcoQuest Troubleshooting Dept. at
1-800-989-2299.
What plans exist for future
business development?
EcoQuest is looking at other
countries for development. We have been determining which countries will be next
for development by looking at demand, marketing aspects, and statistics from the
Direct Selling Association. We must insure we are in compliance with all
standards in each country before we allow more dealers to sign up in unopened
territories.
I have business contacts in
another country that would like to work with EcoQuest on developing this
country. Is that possible?
Tell us more about yourself
and your proposed plan. Contact the International Business Development Group to
discuss in more detail. We may ask you to send more information such as a
business plan, which documents your business experience, financial information,
and proposal.
If EcoQuest is not yet ready
for the expansion of the country you are interested in, we will keep your
