Business Building Philosophies from Bob Giddens
Building a business is more of an art than a science. You have to understand the principles of our business and then apply those principles differently to each person, in accord with that person's strengths, resources, circumstances, and beliefs. As a person emerges as a leader (YOU and your key downliners), that person has to utilize his strengths, resources, circumstances and beliefs and draw support from the strengths, resources, circumstances, and beliefs of others. As you read the material that follows, you will see how this is done.
A Comment On BELIEFS Any system a person BELIEVES IN will probably be better (for him) than a system he doubts. This explains why Kelly Davis, Angelo Martino, Jeff Kerr, and Marc Kloner can all be so different. The ideas you are about to read are Bob Giddens' BELIEFS...
The commitments I make to a serious person include:
#3 is mostly available to all people from all groups. I offer:
Each of us has different skills. Some leaders do more 3-way calls than I do. Some leaders learn advertising skills or trade show skills and train their downliners in those areas. Each to his own! My services can help hundreds of thousands of people, but I cannot be all things to all people and neither can anyone else. I'm not good when it comes to helping people learn to sell. But I'm strong when it comes to being there long term and when it comes to working in depth with my leaders.
You can get A LOT OF HELP from me by using my services and promoting them to your downline. If you can get 1,000 people to use my conference calls, newsletters, meetings, etc., you will get more help than I give to my daughter, James Clendenin, Kristin MacPherson, or anyone else. The moral of this paragraph is:
Support comes to those who use LEVERAGE to multiply what's available.
What I ask of my people:
I initially wrote this page for Jeff Smith. He specifically asked about Stacking, and he inquired about Executive Master Managers Dan Gibson and AJ Krause. Yes, I told him, Dan and AJ are both advocates of Stacking ... and both are doing extremely well. But this answer goes to the issue of BELIEF -- they believe in Stacking and I don't.
I see Stacking as inefficient and something that, to me, is contrary to The Golden Rule. I was recruited by Doug Jackson. I'm sure glad he didn't try to stack me under Michael Gonzalez (whom he had recruited just a few days ahead of me). My whole career would have been different -- and probably ruined -- if he had done that.
But every case is different. Dan and AJ, for example, use VERY DIFFERENT techniques. Invariably, one man's view of "what is right" is different from another man's. Use the materials and services of these two leaders if you like their ideas.
Ed Hutchins and I tend to think alike when it comes to business philosophies. I urge you to stay in touch with Ed (part of your upline). I urge you to read and use his Freedom Plan book. Use my services. Use Ed's services. A person doesn't have to be in my downline or in Ed's to use our ideas, our conference calls, our newsletters, our meetings, etc.
Some people get hung up with trying to get personal support from a big shot. "Personal support" is what you should dream about GIVING, not GETTING. When you are a good GIVER of support, you hardly have time to expect to receive much from someone else. This is the whole secret of success in anything.
Figure out how you can GIVE MORE and you will be MORE SUCCESSFUL!
It will be interesting to see what methodologies Jeff Smith comes up with. I can see you are a hard worker, a strong leader, and a man who gets things done.
Sincerely, Bob Giddens
