Dear Leaders (Prospects, too):
A power
outage sabotaged this essay when I first created it. I suppose
it has happened to you, too. I had written some powerful
stuff ( game changing in my humble opinion)
that suggested 20 ways to impact the growth of your group. I was
about to SEND when the power crashed. Let's see if I can do as well
with this rewrite!

DECIDE. Decide to change your group's
momentum.
The act of deciding is hugely important.
Maybe you'll do some of the things in this
email. Maybe you'll do better with what you've
been doing all along. Consider this Ralph Waldo Emerson
quote: "Once you make a decision, the
universe conspires to make it happen."
I just checked this quote for accuracy and,
while Online, listened on YouTube
to this
inspirational song. I love it.

COMMIT. Commit to something! To
yourself,
to your family, to your future. To the Million
Friends program, to making Executive and to
finding other people who want to be at that
level, to writing goals, to reading
affirmations aloud every day for a week, to
a blitz of activity for 50 days, to bringing a
couple of new workers to the Million Friends
system. In 2012, as I worked on updating
this page,
I clicked replay 4 times on YouTube. The
Impossible Dream is playing. Can anything be
more uplifting?

FLYERS. My flyer project is worth
considering. Visit

and see what you think. At the very least, read
the front and back and pick up its ideas. If
this flyer really grabs you, go through the
steps to get your own front side original and
order 500 personalized flyers for use in the
next 100 days.

NETWORKING. These ideas
all have more potential (through the
magic of leverage)
if you pass them along to your workers,
inactives and prospects. You can send a link to
this page... but you can do much more. Convey these
ideas with passion, with a sense of urgency,
with commitment and with transference. Transference means that you
project ideas and actions into the lives
of other people. "Pat, I don't want you to just
listen to our calls. I want you to be a Million
Friends leader. I want you find the right people
and work to profoundly change them. I want you
to do this not just with one person or a
few...but many. I want you to transfer your
beliefs, your dreams, your ideas and
your passions to hundreds of people." I used Pat
in my example. It could just as well be John,
Rachel, Duane, Doris, Mary, Jo, Bea, James, Ed,
Paul, Jim, Margaret, David, Karen, Sandy, Dick,
Justin, Joyce or Jo Ann or Norm. This is about
you.

SPIRAL NOTEBOOKING. Duane Hines has read
the
Spiral Notebook Plan three times since he
wrote his goals and started participating in
Million Friends. Duane isn't tearing it up but
he's in the game and his mind is working. His
efforts have helped to inspire Rachel Graves. I
don't think there's a person in
Vollara—including myself—who could not benefit
from rereading the Spiral Notebook Plan. It
contains dozens of ideas. It will stir up new
thoughts and refresh things you already know.

HOW STRONG IS YOUR BELIEF? Do you believe
absolutely and totally that Vollara will become
a gigantic company in the next 10 years? I
believe
we'll build 7,000 people to L6 or higher. I've been
saying that with passion for 2 years and
I'll be saying it for 2, 3 or 4 MORE
years. The Baby Boom effect is real. The threat
of inflation is very real. This company has a
special destiny. That's rare. Most network
marketing companies flop. We won't flop
because we have the necessary combination of
products, history, uniqueness, sales plan,
ownership and commitment. Stick with me and I'll
take you to the promised land. Can you say that to
your friends?

WHAT DO YOU HAVE THAT'S BETTER? I know a
guy
(Drew)
who owns a very profitable company. He makes big
money, has assets in the bank, has good
health and enjoys every aspect of his life. I
know a medical doctor (Robert)
who has a good income, a well-funded savings
plan and a family that keeps him totally happy.
My friends
Jim & Margie started in MLM 42 years ago (sponsored
by me).
Unlike these few folks, most hard working
Americans do not have it made.
Many of us have worked VERY HARD for 20 or even
50
years and we still have to worry about money. At most,
20% of Americans are
in the "have it made" category. The rest of
America (and Canada)
could greatly benefit from our offer. Even those
top 20% could benefit from our air, water and
nutrition products. For now, though, just think about yourself. Does
your job
or career have more potential than Vollara offers? If not, what's
holding you back? What do you
have that's better?

TRY SOMETHING NEW. Most of us find it
easier to get excited about something we haven't
tried before. New things are exciting, uplifting
and fun. I'll leave it to you to figure out what
to try.

PUT SOME ICE BREAKER STATEMENTS ON PAPER.
"Hey, I look for people like you who smile a lot. May I introduce myself?" "Could you use
an extra $2,500 a month?" "I'm working
on an assignment to give out 5 brochures per
day to ambitious people. Would you be
willing to read this?" If you'll sit down at
your keyboard with a goal to write 10
approaches (start with these examples),
you'll be amazed at how that list will
impact you.

MILLION FRIENDS. Attend several of
our calls. We—the
Million Friends hosts and loyal participants—will
serve as your support system. Follow the
calls on your computer. Learn our system.

SUBMIT YOUR GOALS TO SOMEONE IN YOUR UPLINE.
This
helpful web page suggests what to put in
your goals. Once your plan is ready, submit it
to someone who will help as a mentor. Then make
progress reports twice each week.

SELLING.
This KISS page explains the selling I did in
my first six months. Anyone who has listened to
my talks knows I don't consider selling to be
the key to building a network. Recruiting and
leadership are far more important. But if your
groups is stagnant or if you need some up-front
profit, selling is indeed a viable option.

MEETINGS. Attend some meetings. Next time
a meeting opportunity comes up, make an
invitation list with at least 20 names and phone
numbers. Keep calling until you've spoken to
all 20. If some don't answer, add new names to
your list.

PRODUCT USAGE. Boost your use of Vollara
nutrition products and LivingWater. The more
diligent you are as a product user, the more you
will talk about your products. You will have
more impact, too.

SIX MOST WANTED LIST. This
is list of the six people you would most like to
recruit in the next four weeks. Put good people
ONLY on this list. If someone convinces you they
are not interested, pull their name from the
list and add a new name. This is discussed in
the Spiral Notebook Plan.

BUILD A LEG CHART.
This is a list of your most important legs. A good leg chart should have the
phone number of each leg leader AND three
additional "best people" in that leg.
The Executive levels
require 4 or more good legs. Bob Giddens says
that 12 good legs is a good goal for someone who
wants to make a quarter of a million dollars a
year or more. A good rule of
thumb is to work on TWICE AS MANY legs as your
goal calls for.

CHICKEN LIST.
This is a list of people you would love to
recruit but are afraid to approach. Make a
chicken list and look at it every day. Your
subconscious mind will help boost your
confidence and give you ideas for approaching
these people.

CHINESE WATER
TORTURE.
This follow-up technique involves sending
something of interest (or making a phone
contact) to
people who are currently saying they are not
interested but, in your opinion, are still
good candidates.

THINK OF AN IDEA
THAT IS NOT ON THIS LIST.

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS.
Make a list 50 blessings in your life. Fifty sounds like
a big number but you'll be surprised at how
blessed you are! Write about your good health
and positive qualities. List people who have
been important in your life. List books and
movies that have impacted your life. Write about
your greatest memories and greatest loves. I
love doing this and you will, too.
