The respected Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport recently adopted the new NSF standards for nutritional products. In addition to the CCES recognition of this program, NSF Athletic Banned Substances Certification has been recommended by key athletic organizations, including Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association. Professional, amateur and recreational athletes as well as coaches, trainers and parents will now be able to look for a specially designed NSF Certified for Sport™ mark on sports supplement labels (see above). In 2004, NSF worked with the National Football League (NFL) and NFL Player's Association to develop and administer the NFL/NFLPA Supplement Certification Program, a first-of-its-kind program designed for professional football.

Prior to Infinity2 Red Bull Energy drink was certified, but not as a DIETARY SUPPLEMENT.

NSF's press release states that Infinity2 is the first company to receive certification in the DIETARY SUPPLEMENT category.

NSF offers several certifications including their regular NSF certification for label claims. InfiAid completed this a year ago. We did not announce it, because we knew we were working on the next level of certification.

InfiAid is currently the only DIETARY SUPPLEMENT that is Certified For Sport. One other product (Red Bull) is Certified For Sport in the food/beverage category.

Certain products are certified for the National Football League Players Association, assuring that the product has been certified and “found to contain no substances prohibited by the National Football League." The NFL program will likely be merged with CFS in the future. CFS is more stringent.
