You may or may not be aware of
what is happening (or what is going to happen)
to your light bill real soon. The power companies are now
installing digital power meters in all homes in the United
States.
They say this will take 2 - 3
years to complete, but in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, they
have already started charging us $2.50 A month for a meter
most of us do not have yet. When this meter is installed in
your home and your air conditioner comes on, the meter will
see the spike that the compressor caused and this will be
what you will be charged for (peak power for
a period of time -- as they do with commercial clients
already).
These are called "demand meters"
and believe me, folks, your power bill will change every
time a motor comes on in your house...because the meter will
see the power spike caused by the motor.
If you do not have the EcoPower4
or PowerwoRx-e3 in your home at the present time, do not
delay. Order it today and install it next week. The cost of
this unit could be re-cooped by the end of the year with the
savings you will get from this unit depending on your usage
of power.
This unit corrects the Power
Factor on all motors and not only makes them run more
efficiently, but the digital meter does not see the spike (therefore
you are not charged the "spike rate").
