Meeting Outline

The Plan

Start on time and complete the meeting in 1 hour or slightly more. More often than not it is a bad idea to “wait another few minutes” for people who are supposedly coming. It sends a bad signal to those who arrived on time and puts a time squeeze on your close. Waiting a few minutes for someone who called from their car and gave you their exact location is acceptable. In any case, do not start more than 10 minutes late.

Save 30 minutes at the end for signups.

1. Do a 5-minute warm-up with a little company background. Good handout: http://chippynews.com/JoinEQfor$25.htm

This script is written for the Bob Giddens June 2008 Oklahoma trip. Modify as needed for your situation.

Hi, my name is Bob Giddens. I now live in Orlando and I'm in passing through Tulsa en route to our company's national convention in Kansas City. I've known Bert since the days he and I both lived in Houston. We've stayed in touch as his family grew and he went through his career here in Tulsa. Maybe he was waiting for the biggest growth profile in our company's history and that happens to be right now.

EcoQuest originated in 1986 and I joined EcoQuest in 1995. The only products we sold were air purifiers. Over the years we have updated our air technologies, gone into commercial business in an impressive way, expanded overseas and added other products. Air technologies are still our biggest division, but we not have five major divisions, each of which has the potential to do hundreds of millions of dollars of business.

Our form of business is network marketing, and this means you can participate with an interest in any division that suits you...and then you can branch out through recruiting into commercial, international, air, water, nutrition, laundry or power savings. You can mix and match these options in whatever way suits you.

When I started, my primary focus from the very beginning was on recruiting. My prospect list consisted of friends, people from ads, referrals and people I met through my daily activities. I signed up my first dealer within a few hours and I got 3 more in my first week. This, by the way, is exactly what I recommend for you. Recruiting is not hard, because all we ask is a $25 decision, and we have a lot to offer.

You might make totally different choices from the ones I made, but I picked 4 fairly obvious markets: veterinarians, medical offices, beauty salons and private homes. I wasn't good at selling, but I committed to myself that I would make 7 sales attempt each week. That didn't turn me into a superstar seller, but it put me in the game. I did that for 6 months and made about $4,000 profit from selling.

In our 22-year history we have sold well over a billion dollars worth of air purifiers. This line of products has always been very powerful, but in the last few years we have completed some university studies that have opened up some very big markets. So let me tell you a story that covers our product capability, the networking process, and our Commercial Division at the same time.

One EcoQuest lady made contact through a social event with a high-ranking executive in a large corporation that owns more than 200 hospitals. The man she met was the corporation's chief biological officer--or some title like that--so she mentioned that our products have been proven to kill MRSA and Staphylococcus, as well as other pathogens. She asked for an appointment and was promised 20 minutes. Well, she was approaching a multi-billion dollar company and her commercial sales experience was zero. So she called a more experienced person in her network upline and then went in to take their best shot. Because MRSA and Staph are such big problems in the hospital industry, the biological officer invited the president of his company and the Chairman of the Board. The 20-minute meeting lasted for an hour and a half. In the end, the ladies said something like this, "Gentlemen, we've done our best to show you the capability of our products and we think they could save a lot of lives and a lot of money for your corporation. We're not professional salespeople and we're not scientists, but we'd like to know if you have a level of interest."

The Chairman immediately said, "Can you get us an appointment with one of your executives and a scientific person within two weeks?" The ladies promised that this could be arranged and two weeks later Rick DeMarco and Allen Johnston flew in to represent the company. Following their meeting they called the ladies and asked how large an order they thought was possible. The ladies said they were thinking in terms of $15 million dollars. Allen Johnston said, "We think it could be more than $100 million."

This order has become what we call a House Account. Now the customer deals directly corporate, but the ladies are in the loop for commissions and bonus points, called PV. A $20 million dollar study has been initiated, and I'm expecting to hear a big announcement about this project later this week at our national convention.

Now listen to this important concept. You may feel you will never make a contact of that type...and, statistically, you are probably right. But as your network gets larger and larger, the odds of this happening in your group become more and more real. The same thing is true when it comes to our International Division. I recruited James Clendenin on April 1, 1995, just a week after I joined. A month later he recruited Mike Carlson. A couple of year later and several people down in the network we came upon a man who has married a lady from Spain when he was stationed at an Air Force base in Europe. Their son became fluent in both languages and he also was the captain of the basketball team at Louisiana State University about fifteen years ago. Mike Hansen ended up playing in the European Basketball League and completed a very successful career there. Now he and some of this basketball buddies run an EcoQuest business that sells to Burger King, Pizza Hut, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Starbucks in Spain, Portugal and Italy. I'll see Mike Hansen this week in Kansas City, but his business is completely self sufficient. This kind of networking success could happen to you, too. The key is to recruit, recruit, recruit. You could start tonight for $25 and have 25 people in your group within a month. You could have 300 people in your group by the end of the year, and you could be in the thousands in 2009.

Now let's talk about PowerwoRx. This is probably the most exciting product we have ever introduced. It's official introduction is coming this week in Kansas City, but we have already seen a huge flurry of activity. Let me comment first about the US economy... Over a million homes are in foreclosure and 30 million other homes have lost a lot of their value on paper. The prices of gasoline and food and many other daily products are going through the roof. No end is in sight. So PowerwoRx does two things. By saving energy, it helps address the energy crisis. More importantly, if make the EcoQuest business opportunity easier and more lucrative.  If this product were your only focus, the decision to join EcoQuest would still be an easy one.

Let's now cover International. The 4th person I recruited back in 1995 was James Clendenin, a retired navy officer, in Melbourne, Florida. James' group has expanded in many directions, but the one I want to mention is in Spain. His group in Spain has sold to Burger King, Starbucks and Kentucky Friend Chicken. They have expanded to Portugal and are working on other countries. His main guy over there was the co-captain on the LSU basketball team when Shaquille O'Neal was the other co-captain. But Mike Hansen wasn't drafted for basketball in the US so he went to Spain. He became a star there and now is full time in EcoQuest. Now, remember why I told that story? I have always considered recruiting to be my main method of growing. I recruited a guy in Florida 12 years ago and currently he is doing many thousands of dollars of business every month in Spain. I earn a small percentage.

How large are the percentages we earn? They vary from 42% on the high side to 1/4% on the small side.

Another example. I recruited Gordon Brodine in San Antonio many years ago. Since we teach the recruiting method of growth as opposed to the selling method, Gordon's group has also expanded in many directions. His top producer is Alton Holt from Beaumont, and Alton has become the #1 seller in the Commercial Division.

I wrote a newsletter last year featuring a young army sergeant in Afghanistan. You'll love that story and if you go to my website you'll see the updates. I don't know Michael Dismuke. I recruited my friend Joyce in Richmond. She recruited someone who recruited someone and it went down a total of 7 levels before it came to the guy you will be able to read about.

If you'll take the giant leap today and sign up for $25, these kinds of expansion stories can happen to you over the months and years ahead. When you join EcoQuest you are getting the support of a good company, access to exceptional products, the opportunity to buy these products at member prices and the ability to attract the talents of other people through the network system.

Now let me tell you about our products....

2. Covers Fresh Air and DuctwoRx. Use the Fresh Air for the onion and ammonia demos. Do Living Proof at the same time. Mention LaundryPure. Mention our water products, especially Living Water Ultra. Mention our Commercial Division and refer back to DuctwoRx, the #1 commercial seller. Talk about the Consumables. This ties to the Baker and Cuddeback stories in the Afghanistan page. Complete the product talk in 20 minutes. Audience questions can sometimes make this difficult.

Host provides Fresh Air/Living Proof/DuctwoRx/ammonia/onion.

Essentials For Life and TED are a must. Living Water Ultra is nice.

3. Why become a dealer? Take up to 15 minutes to cover Dealer discounts, tax advantages, social advantages, part time money, the career opportunity and the value of one major recruit (Clendenin story – Bob Giddens has earned $1 million from this Leg; Baker story -Bob has earned over $2 million from this Leg).

Continuation of the Bob Giddens script for his June 2008 trip. Modify as needed for your situation.

Now let me tell you about some other people....

4. Discuss the success stories that on the Afghanistan web page: Kristin MacPherson, JK Baker, James & Jennifer Clendenin, Darwin Cuddeback who has lost 50 pounds and become a regular on the nutrition calls and Michael Dismuke who is serving in Afghanistan. Those stories cover many "types" of Dealers: rich, poor, part-time, career, those with an air focus, those with a consumables focus, wife involved, wife not involved.

5. Show the Dealer Pack and closes with sign-up forms. Mention the Success Pack and Master Pack but do not push for a big money close.

A person who is really committed to this system will have

20 Dealer Packs and a supply of forms readily available.

Proof Books are a must.

6. At each meeting announce a 10-day campaign to recruit as many as possible. This is called the Meeting Follow-up Period (MFP). Keep the decision a simple one.

Work with Bob Giddens if you want to close with this special (optional) offer

Pass around dealer agreements. This is one possible close: “All who sign today will get a free subscription to Chippy News. Subscription value is $30. Sign-up cost is $25.”

Host decides in advance to do this or it is never mentioned.

Host pays Bob $7.50 per subscription. Host is responsibility for getting the addresses to Bob.

Be prepared to discuss the Success Pack and Master Pack

However, the goal of this meeting is to sign people up for $25 and create a sense of recruiting urgency for the 10 days following the meeting. Success and Master Pack decisions can come later.

Live Longer through Fresh Air

This air purifier/surface sanitizer has been advertised nationally, but it is not a collector plate system like the Ionic Breeze. This uses a totally different, Space Certified technology. Fresh Air uses Purifying hydroxyl radicals (for details, see the science link at bottom of page).

Depending on the design of your home and its pollution load, each  will serve up to 3,000 square feet (you need more units if you have cats, smokers, multiple air handlers or lots of social events). Ionization causes air pollutants to drop out of the breathing zone 250 times faster than impurities will settle on their own.

has been shown to kill staphylococcus, MRSA, bird flu (yes, we have documented this), salmonella, mold and much more. Protect yourself, your family, your houseguests and your employees with this amazing technology.

Dealer price for 3  units: $1,422 plus shipping and applicable taxes.
