2011 Update

 

This is an update from Bob Giddens about our company that started as Alpine Air Products in 1986 (before any of us were involved), became Alpine Industries in '88, name-changed to EcoQuest in 2000, went out of business in 2009, and was taken over by the Aerus Investment group the same day. We continued to operate as EcoQuest for 10 months and became Vollara on January 29, 2010.

 

The new owners moved our headquarters to Dallas and our manufacturing to Bristol, Virginia, where the Aerus group also builds their line of vacuum cleaners. Lots of improvements and changes have been instituted. We still have our great products and some new ones. But we are a better company with a huge future.

Lots of information...

1. Starting from a proven foundation. As a company, we are as small now as we were in the spring of 1995 when Bob Giddens joined Alpine Industries. This is FANTASTIC NEWS for someone who wants to take advantage of lucky timing. The greatest financial blessing of my life was finding Alpine when it was small, working hard to build my share of it, and having the opportunity to help others catch the 95/96/97 success explosion that made us so much money. That window is history; however, today's window is wide open!

2. Timing. In a couple of years we won't be talking about the recession of 2008 anymore. We aren't happy about what the recession did, but we can't change the past. People lost their savings, their jobs, their homes and sometimes more. But from today forward we have nowhere to go but up. That's the only healthy way to look at it.

3. Behind-the-scenes news. A phenomenon called Baby Boom II is well under way. One hundred million young Americans (under 32) will help shape the prosperity of America for several decades (just as the first Boom did for the sixties, seventies and eighties). The car industry has recovered, big corporations are making more profits than at any time in history, smart phones are selling like wildfire, and we have 100 million young people who will help pay down our national debt. Historically, many generations have stood tall to fight our wars, reshape our politics, solve our economic crises and improve our standing in the world. The US is at the threshold of a 30-year boom...with but one problem. Middle America and Up-and-coming America (which may include YOU) needs to "merge with the surge" NOW so as not to be left behind.

4. Inflation. Within 5 years inflation will be a bigger problem for some people than the recession was. It will be good for corporations but bad for poor and middle class people who don't have business ownership or sizable investments. Before long, each of us will need $80,000 to cover $50,000 of living expenses in today's economy.

Hindsight

I can look back over a 41-year network marketing career and draw current conclusions based on how things worked out with other companies in other times. In 69 years of life I've learned what factors foretell growth and which ones foretell gloom. You've learned lessons, too...and I know you will compare my thoughts with your own. We know how positive the post-World War II Baby Boom was. I believe that the current Boom will also be good.

I caught the vitamin boom in the seventies and earned the top incomes of my life (to that point). Or did I actually catch an inflation boom? Or was it a network marketing boom? In truth, it was all three.

In the nineties I caught the air purification boom. The strong mid-nineties economy was also helping. Again, it was more than just one thing.

These factors are coming together again. Hindsight has prepared me to see the alignments before their impact is felt across the country. I have a head start on the rest of American. Am I going to act on this head start or let it slip away? You'd better believe I am acting.

My goal is to pass this baton of knowledge ahead to you and your friends. In 2011 we are not racing to the finish line. We are ahead of the game. We are racing toward the starting point.
