The testing data BELOW came from Allen Johnston's office (VP
of Technology). This information will be placed in a
brochure soon, but here's the data for now.
Technical details on LaundryPure……….
EcoQuest LaundryPure™ will change the way we do laundry! Thanks
to technology developed by NASA and adapted to laundry cleaning,
LaundryPure™ allows clothing to be washed in a standard top load
or front load residential washing machine with no soap and in
cold water.
Oxidation Gases. The LaundryPure™ reactor chamber houses the
Radiant Catalytic Ionization™ Cell, incorporating two high
intensity UV lamps shining on a hydrated quad-metallic target to
create a Photocatalytic reaction, producing the following
oxidative gasses:
· Ozone
· Ozonide Ions
· Hydro peroxides
· Hydroxides
· Free oxygen molecules
· Super oxide ions
These
Advanced Oxidizers are injected into the water stream, becoming
entrained in the water to break down oils and grime and
disinfect the fabric and work best with cold water.
Pure Oxygen Aeration. A byproduct of the Radiant Catalytic
Ionization™ process is pure oxygen aeration, which creates an
effervescent cleaning action similar to club soda's cleaning
action where escaping gases release grime and stains from
fabrics.
Silver Ionizer. Silver ions are added to the oxidized water
solution through electrolysis to provide silver's unique
bactericide ability. These silver ions will also be trapped in
the fabric to provide ongoing protection against odor-causing
bacteria.
TEST DATA – Bacteria reductions; testing performed in May
2006 by NSF has shown significant microbiological reduction by
using LaundryPure™ in conjunction with a standard washer.
