First stage

(skepticism and disinterest)

I listen with skepticism. Maybe this is a waste of time. I don't proudly announce myself as a listener. I've never returned to the charts and studied them.

Second stage

            (a little discovery)

I'm not a believer yet, but I do feel uplifted by the calls. The KISS system is pretty neat. I could see myself using it, but it's hard to get anyone to pay attention.

Third stage

(intellectual interest)

I'm thinking more about the Million Friends message. I'm breaking the presentation down page by page, thinking about its logic. Is this really true?

Fourth stage

(cautious acceptance)

I like the calls. I hear a slightly different message each time. My depth of understanding is growing. I'm starting to think about inviting some guests; but I don't have any good prospects.

Fifth stage

(half-hearted effort)

I actually invited someone but my guest didn't attend. I'm such a coward; and if I let things stay the same I'll always be a wishful thinker but not a doer. I'm close, I'm really close to doing something.

Sixth stage

(admitting there is more to know)

I sat down to make a list of 20 candidates. I quickly thought of 20 people but not 20 good ones. Maybe I need to read the Spiral Notebook Plan. Or maybe I should just quit. This isn't working.

Seventh stage

(rejection and doubt)

"Bob, I've got a guest on tonight's call." Then later: It was bitter sweet. It felt good to have a guest but my guest wasn't interested. Maybe I'm not the right person to do this.

Eighth stage

(temptation to give up)

I skipped a week and here I am back again. I feel like such a weenie; but I really think this is possible. If I really were to make an all-out push I could probably do it. Is it this hard for everyone?

Ninth stage

(true commitment)

"I've had 3 guests on your calls this week and one is willing to try going through these stages. I've sold him/her on giving Million Friends a try. Can I volunteer to do one of the presentations? I'm now trying to listen to 4 calls per week."

Tenth stage (1 year later...or 18 months later...or 24 months later)

(pride in the work you've done and a commitment to continue helping others)

Bob asked me to do the training tonight. I'm going to tell you how I went through the Ten Stages with Million Friends. At first I wasn't sure if it would work, and for quite a few weeks I made almost zero progress. My wife was hands off at the time but she did like the products. I know some of you can relate to this.

I stuck with Vollara and Million Friends and the Morning Nutrition Calls and finally things started to change. My level of belief got stronger and so did my effectiveness. It still wasn't easy but I knew I was on the right track.

Then 1 person agreed to try the program. A couple of weeks later I got another one. Within 2 months, 5 people in my group were working their way through these stages. I'll tell you the truth. Three out of those first 5 didn't stay the course. However, by the time they dropped out I already had more. The system was actually working.

Now a year has passed. My wife is a believer now. We are at the Executive level with two Executive legs. Our latest check was just over $3,000 and we recently cashed a $700 Cycle Bonus. We don't have 12 good legs yet but that's where we want to be within this year. Let me tell you, I'm filled with hope and it's very exciting. We're not home free, but if we keep this up for 2 more years we'll have a $200,000 income, which is more than twice what we make from our jobs. And that's another thing. We still have full time jobs—both of us. Our goal is to have 50 Executives in our group within the year. Wow!

Before I turn this call back over to our host...I want to tell you where we would have been had we not worked this program. I've tried network marketing a couple of times before and like many of you I swore I would never try it again. My wife and I have good jobs but nothing that will ever make us rich. Because of our jobs, it was not easy to make time for Vollara and Million Friends. But something told us to give it a solid chance. We liked the products and it seemed logical that Vollara would eventually grow into a big company. And we could tell that Million Friends was altogether different from other systems we had tried. So that's why we decided to do it. And what a great decision that was!
