The rate is the same as most private label dept stores like Sears etc.—the APR rate is 24.99%.

Customers can pay as much as they want (revolving credit); thus, they can reduce the interest paid by paying sooner.

Various promotional programs are available such as 3 , 6 , 12, 15, 18, and 24-month same as cash. Under these programs, there is no interest if the total balance is paid within the time stated on the contract.

There are equal payment programs with no interest and options to get a reduced APR of 9.99%.

These promotions involve a charge to the distributor, but provide opportunities to overcome the interest rate objection issue with customers. Also check their website for information for training on handling this objection once you are enrolled.

EcoQuest has a finance partner, GE Money, that can address all your major issues:

 

FAST FUNDING: Enter the sales on your computer and your funding is automatic in 2 days. Totally under your control!

 

In-home sales should be submitted after the 3-day rescission period. This program is for sales in the USA to end-use consumers only, no sales to dealers.

 

Easy Paperwork: Easy GE Money credit card application and sales slip. All documents are retained by you, so no need to ship them anywhere. Remember you must retain them to provide copies to GE Money on their request.

Program Has Started: To get signed up, see details on the enclosed GE Money bulletin. It is easy – just call 1-866-209-4457. The application is also online at www.enroll-today.com website, but the phone is the way to go. You should be aware that there is a $45 per month non-usage fee. The fee is waived if you submit 3 credit applications per month, regardless if they are approved or result in a sale — just 3 applications avoids the fee. Be prepared by having your bank account routing number, and account number, as they will need that information to send your funding. Also, they will ask you for your Federal I.D. or SS number.

 

Everything else will be easy. Make sure your DBA name is EcoQuest, and that you identify yourself as an EcoQuest

You will receive a packet from them in 7 to 10 days including all forms for you to start using GE. GE Money also has an excellent training website on using the program and for your new business partners on how to present financing and overcome objections, at: www.gemoney.com/business.

 

You have several critical responsibilities in this program. Your dealer relationship is direct with GE Money and your responsibilities required under your agreement include:

 

1. Making sure all credit applications and forms are completed properly and signed. You must retain these signed copies. GE Money can request them from you up to 5 years later. This includes the EcoQuest sales receipt with the cancellation notice on in-home sales.

2. You must confirm identification of your customer with two forms of identification as required. Refer to dealer agreement and instructions to insure you see the appropriate identification.

3. In the event you accept the return of all equipment from a customer sold via GE, you must promptly enter a credit for the full amount on the GE website to credit their account.

4. You should be aware that there is a $45 per month non-usage fee. The fee is waived if you submit 3 credit applications per month, regardless if they are approved or result in a sale—just 3 applications avoids the fee.
