February 2005
Online Newletter

Dear ChippyNews.com Readers:

The following link will apply to this message: http://www.ecoquestintl.com/incentives/bmw.asp

I pulled the winners' names from the 2004 BMW list that came out in January. Congratulations! I will see you in two weeks as we sail from Tampa (Feb 5 - Feb 10). Our ports of call are Cozumel, Mexico, and the Cayman Islands.

To those who did not qualify in 2004:

You could do this if you put your mind to it.

Developing a mindset to qualify for BMW

might change everything in your EcoQuest Life.

Please read this whole Online Newsletter very carefully, including the links!

The winners listed below ALL receive bonus checks based on their BMW points. They share in 1% of the 2004 national PV (the company's cruise expenses are deducted from this pool before the bonuses are determined).

The 2004 Monthly Awards (which came in month-by-month) averaged $100 - $125 per Point per month. For someone at the Fast Start Distributor or MIT level this was significant!

The 2004 Annual Awards worked out as follows:

People with 7-10 Points give up 2 Points in exchange for the 5-day cruise, which has a $1046.66 value per couple. Their pro rata bonus is based on the remaining Points (5-8). Each point should be worth $150 to $200. This is a very exciting bonus.

People with 11-20 Points give up 1 Point in exchange for the cruise and receive a pro rata bonus based on 10-19 Points.

People with 21-24 Points receive the cruise and all Points are converted to bonus money.

People with 25-40 Points receive the cruise, plus airfare for two from their home city, plus bonus money.

People with 41-60 Points receive the cruise, plus a SUITE, plus airfare, plus bonus money (
the 60 Point people will get approximately $12,000).

Congratulations to these winners from the Giddens downline (one-third of all the winners). With a little more emphasis on BMW we might have had twice as many winners. By the way, if your name is omitted, please excuse the error. I recognize MOST of the Manager names from my group, but not all.

Mike Jackson and others have been emphasizing an important truth about this special Award Category called

BMW (which stands for Build More Width). Here's that reality:

If you work to earn the top monthly BMW Awards ... and if you achieve at least 25 Points during the year ... you will probably be in fantastic shape:

1. Your business will be healthy and growing.

2. You will be an $800 per month car qualifier.

3. You will probably earn the annual President's Club trip and bonus.

4. Within one year you should be earning $10,000 per month or more.

5. Your confidence and self-image will be high.

6. You will earn the BMW cruise (probably with airfare) and a bonus.

Key Manager Fred Brown wrote an excellent summary about BMW after last year's cruise. See: http://www.chippynews.com/WhyIQualifyforBMW.rtf . By Fred's accounting, his 2003 BMW benefits came to $21,710. He thinks he earned an additional $20,000 to $30,000 in bonuses because of extra business he did in pursuit of BMW.

The 2006 trip will be to Alaska and the requirements to earn points are as follows:

Managers (monthly program) --
  • 15 new Dealers in open group  -- 1 point (No new AAA enrollees are required for 1 point)

  • 15 new Dealers in open group + 10 new AAA enrollees each month + 5 legs of 1,000QV -- 2 points

  • 15 new Dealers in open group + 10 new AAA enrollees each month + 10 legs of 1,000QV -- 3 points

  • 25 new Dealers in open group + 10 new AAA enrollees each month + 10 legs of 1,000QV -- 5 points
Distributors & MITs (monthly program) --
  • BMW Opportunity for Fast Start Distributors & MIT's
Points earned based upon how many 500QV legs in the downline

  • 4 Legs + 3 new Triple A members - 1 Point

  • 8 Legs + 5 new Triple A members - 3 Points

  • 10 Legs + 10 new Triple A members - 5 Points

Fine Print: Each 500QV leg must order product directly from EcoQuest -- QV transfers not permitted. Nor may uplines order QV in downline legs' names. Fast Start Distributors and MITs are not eligible for the yearly bonus unless they promote to Manager by Dec 1.

Here's my recommendation:

1. Study the BMW requirements, starting with Fast Start Distributor and MIT, and map out a goal to earn 5 points every month. Break your monthly work assignments into 10-day periods and strive to get yourself qualified by the 20th of each month (leaving 10 extra days for catch up).

2. Look for ambitious recruits and teach them the same plan. The best way to do this is to specifically say, "Pat, we have a program called BMW. I work for it every month on a 10-day/10-day/10-day basis and I'm going to teach you the same program. This program will take you to Sales Manager within six months and it leads to an income of $10,000 per month and up. Is this something you will be willing to pursue?"

3. You'll be looking for 10 reliable legs. Don't get lazy when you get two good legs. The time will come when some of your best people start breaking away as Managers. That's when you will REALLY need some width.

4. As you approach the Manager rank, move your emphasis to coincide with the BMW requirements at the Manager level.

5. Build your plan and write your goals around the 5 Point objective. There may soon be a way to earn more than 5 Points.

6. Once you get some momentum, check on the President's Club rules so you can be sure to qualify for both Awards. In general, anyone who is on track to earn 5 BMW Points every month should be a sure thing for the car, for good amounts of Travel Dollars, and for President's Club.

Most EcoQuesters will have to make some BIG CHANGES in their work commitment, in their belief level, and in their self confidence to move up to 5-Point BMW status. But, oh, how it's worth it.

Sincerely and Enthusiastically,
Bob Giddens
Presidential Master Manager
