Nursing Home Story
Dementia, Air Pollution and Nursing Homes
My aunt had been in a nursing home for some
time and had really bad dementia. If you are not
aware, dementia is like Alzheimer’s. She had
problems keeping on the same subject in a sentence
and recognizing people close in the family. Before
she went into the nursing home, she and my uncle
wrote up living wills for “no resuscitation” in case
they were to get in a health state that required
them to be hooked up to life support.
She went into congestive heart failure in February
2007. She was alive, but totally non responsive, no
movement, nothing. My cousin, their daughter, was
with her 24 hours a day to keep her mouth moist with
wet sponge swabs. I went in to visit a day later.
Still no movement, nothing. They gave her 7-10 days
to live.
I returned two days later. She was still lying there
with no movement, no response to anything. The urine
smell in the room was so bad that it made my eyes
water. Nursing homes are often bad; but her room was
totally disgusting. I found out later that the smell
was from her roommate.
After 15 minutes, I could not stand it. I went to my
car, got a PXH and plugged it in the wall. I did
this to get rid of the urine odor so people could
visit without the agony of the smell. This was 1:00
pm on a Wednesday. At 4:30 am on Thursday (fifteen
and a half hours after the air purification process
had begun), my aunt woke up and asked for a
chocolate shake. At 7:00 she wanted to go to
breakfast, where she ate like a horse.
This is a year later: February 20, 2008. She passed
away on January 30. The home made us take the unit
out in December because they "didn't want any extra
equipment plugged into the wall sockets."
My cousin and I feel that her mother was able to
spend an extra year with us due to the impact air
purification had on the air in her room. She would
do great whenever she was in her room. When she left
to go to the lunch room and then they took her to
the day room, her recognition would go down and her
sentences would start getting jumbled. Then she
would go back into her room...the recognition would
go back up and her sentences would start making
sense again after about an hour.
People can call it what they want; but I feel the
PHX prolonged my aunt's life and gave her an
improved qualify of life for the better part of a
year. I've read that dementia is a disease where the
brain does not get enough oxygen. There was oxygen
in that nursing home, but the pollution load in my
aunt's contaminated room was too heavy for her body
to cope with. What happens when the body is
overwhelmed? It shuts certain functions down in an
attempt to survive. Even when oxygen was made
available through nose tubes, she was breathing
through her mouth and sucking in more bad air than
good.
IF I ever had any doubt as to what our technologies
can do for people, any doubt was removed on that
Thursday morning a year ago when my cousin called to
tell me the good news about my aunt waking up.
The minister who had been in there praying for her
3-4 times a day could not believe it. He said when
he walked in the room on that Thursday morning to
pray for her that he noticed that the urine smell
was gone.
The nursing home does not want to spend money to
make their establishment better because they are
full and have a waiting list. It does not matter if
someone dies. They still have a full house. That is
my opinion, of course, but it fits with the answers
I got when I tried to talk with them about putting
our technology in their facility.

Nursing Home Story
A
fan of EcoQuest technology (he has 5 cats and loves his
Fresh Air) just purchased a PHX for his mother who is in an
assisted living center. The mother and her roommate share
a room but the roommate has a very noticeable urinary
problem which had become offensive. They tried the former
PHX and the odor was cleared up within one day. The new PHX
($200 less expensive) was purchased but the room was absent
a unit overnight. I spoke with Gary this evening and he
couldn't believe the major difference. One day without it
and the problem was back, then 24 hours later, absolutely no
odor at all.
Yours in fresher air,
Cynthia

Dear Chippy News Readers,
"Easy Susan" Eppes sent this
letter today. When her husband died, Susan had a "foot
in the door," so to speak, with the Cypress-Fairbanks
funeral home. What a trooper she is! The funeral home
bought a Fresh Air and she just sent this letter of
gratitude. You've got to admit this is an unusual story.
Susan picked up her nickname
"Easy" because she heard about EcoQuest one evening and
ordered a Success Pack the next day. She is a wonderful,
upbeat lady and
a successful loser with the Enzyme Diet. You've got
to admit, everything about Susan Eppes makes a person
smile.
She also plugs the Summit
Climber program in her letter. She sure as heck isn't
"Lazy Susan"!

Hi Bob!
Thanks for thinking of me with your 4th of July greeting. That
was unique, and I really enjoyed it. It also reminded me to put
the flag out tomorrow! My Dad was a Marine until death and had
always encouraged me to remember the men and women who serve our
country.
I'm looking forward to meeting Michelle next week, and to seeing
you in August. I'll be at convention and hopefully it'll be just
what I need to get back in the game. By the way, I'm attaching a
testimonial letter from Ed's funeral home. I was very fortunate
to get my "foot in the door", and
they are extremely happy with what the Fresh Air is doing for
their facility. I'm also a Summit Climber with one machine
coming to me each month. So far I've sold each one, and I do
continue to BELIEVE.
Blessings for a safe 4th.....

Dear Chippy News:
You may know that our son, Jake Dockery is in Iraq. He
wrote us about the all-pervasive, powder-fine dust that
chokes everyone, covers everything, and makes the jobs
of those in close quarters very difficult and
unhealthful.
Mr. Mike Jackson, when he read Jake’s note, immediately
sent 10 Fresh Air units to Jake’s post. Mr. Jackson
made the announcement of the gift of support from the
stage at VisionQuest. He immediately had folks put
checks in his hand to help with this.
We have received letters of thanks and great
appreciation, from Jake, from his commander, and below,
we share a note from one of the co-workers serving in
their outfit. We thought you’d like to know first-hand
about how much our company’s generosity impacts others.
Please continue to faithfully pray for our military
members and their families. Your support, encouragement
and prayers are so much appreciated by them. We
certainly owe each and every one a debt beyond our
ability to repay!
Dear Mr. Dockery,
My name is Hope Xxxx, and I work with your son Jake in
Iraq. Jake provided my office with two of your Fresh
Air Treatment Systems and I wanted to extend my sincere
thanks for those systems. These two systems have been
remarkable for our offices that were in much need of air
purification systems.
This product has significantly made a difference to our
work areas. So much so, I am going to purchase one for
my own home. Again, thank you so very much for the
donations to the military and civilians that are serving
in Iraq. I would also like to take the opportunity to
wish you and your family a happy holiday season.
Sincerely,
Hope Xxxx

Dear Chippy News:
Angelo and I were walking in the park last Sunday, and
ours was the only car in the parking lot. But we saw an
elderly gentleman along the path...
My big mouth being what it is... I struck up a
conversation with him. He had a nice face and
intelligent eyes.
We talked about the great weather, the fun of seeing
young families using the park to watch their kids play
sports and the sadness that they sometimes don't pick up
their trash when they leave.
Somehow, Angelo made mention of my walking daily now
without using my cane anymore...which led to
nutritionals and one's health. As we laughed and shared
experiences, we listened to his story about his life and
family and his deteriorating health in his older years.
Somehow the conversation came around to his asking what
we do for a living--a rather common path that
conversations take. I said we use clean air to help us
with indoor allergens, etc. Of course,
he asked, "How do you do that?" and we gave a quick
short response.
No sooner had I described our Fresh Air purifier and how
it works than he said, "I want to buy one. Do you have
one with you in your truck?"
We did, of course. He didn't live far from the park so
we offered to drive him home. It was a lovely home,
almost spotless inside, with beautiful floors, carpets
and artwork from across the globe. He had mementos of
his life as a chemical engineer working in many foreign
lands. The home did have an "old people" smell about it
though...and we knew immediately that he needed this
machine after all. We spoke of many things...and when we
left it was with hugs good-bye.
You know, we felt we'd been blessed. This kindly
soul didn't know us or have any reason to expect to buy
a machine that day; and we really didn't discuss the
equipment as much as just make friendly conversation. It
just goes to show you that people are everywhere. If you
share some information--and with no need to go
overboard--you may have an opportunity to help someone
and earn some money, too.
We'll be looking in on this friend every so often. We
don't think many do. He is a treasure of a person, and
we're so glad to have met him. We'll gain a lot just by
knowing him.
You know, there are people like this gentleman all
around us, day in and day out. Some are young, some old,
and we don't seem to see them as we rush through our own
lives. Remember the saying about stopping to smell the
roses? Life is the rose, and so are the people you meet
in it. This business allows us to earn our income, live
our lives, and share great beneficial discoveries with
everyone along the way. What a bouquet!

SpringHouse
Whole Home Water
Purification System
Customer Letter
of Testimony
March 13, 2006
Buddy Smith
G.A. Smith Products
Kerrville, Texas
Dear Buddy,
I just wanted to tell you how Alice and I are enjoying the
SpringHouse water purifier. Our water comes from a well in
the Trinity Aquifer in Kerr County. The well is 683 feet in
depth and is full of iron and other minerals.
Since we dug the well about 5 years ago, it has produced
water so rusty that we could not wash white clothes without
staining them. We were forced to discontinue wearing whites
or using white sheets and pillowcases. In fact, we took our
light-colored clothes to Ingram to wash them at my mom's
house.
I was not sure that the SpringHouse was the answer to our
problem, but your confidence in the product persuaded me to
give it a try. Within a few minutes of installation, we
carefully sampled the water by drinking it. It has been many
years since we have drunk water from the faucet. We were on
the bottled water circuit and rarely went to town without
taking a jug to purchase water.
When we tasted it, we were amazed that the well water was so
good. It has now been a couple of months since our purchase
and the system is still producing wonderful water. Our
bathroom fixtures no longer have to be scoured with
chemicals to get them clean.
I don't often come across a product that deserves a
testimonial letter, but the SpringHouse has helped us so
much that I want to let other people know about its
effectiveness.
Many thanks,
E. L. "Butch" Young
120 Rover Lane
Ingram, Texas 78025
830-367-4655
We are
delighted that SpringHouse is working so ideally for Butch
and we love his letter. In some applications, one or more
pre-filters will be needed to take out sediment or iron
or sulfur (it
depends on the water from a given source). Filtering
equipment is readily available through plumbing supply
companies and all plumbers know how to install these units.
The SpringHouse deals with many classes of pollutants,
especially the bio contaminants such as bacteria, algae and
mold. As Butch's letter states, SpringHouse is also great
for fixing the taste and smell of water, as well as for
removing chlorine. Since it serves the entire home, this
applies to bathing water as well as to drinking,
ice-making and food preparation water.

Dear Mr. Smiley (Dr.
Fomby's EcoQuest dealer),
We bought a large,
100-year-old Victorian home, which had a bat colony in the attic
for many years. After replacing the roof and closing all the
openings that bats could come through, we had the attic cleaned
and new insulation installed, but it still smelled strong and
the smell leaked into the house. We tried various sprays, odor
absorbers, and had ventilation added, but nothing seemed to
work.
We bought a Fresh Air by EcoQuest for
the attic and it finally began to remove the smell. Our other
Fresh Air had the interior of our home smelling fresh in 24
hours.
Needless to say, we are very pleased
and have bought a third Fresh Air for our children's apartment.

Sorry it took me so long to get this
email to you. I wanted to thank you for stopping by the other day and
let you know again how much my husband and I love our Fresh Air
Purifier. It is something I most probably would never have thought to
buy for ourselves, but it has truly made a difference in our home. Our
home is almost 100 years old and when you close it up there is a musty
smell when you come back in, even if it is only a day or two. Not
anymore with our Fresh Air.
My husband has recently been diagnosed
with cancer and is undergoing chemo at present. It has made a
tremendous difference removing that chemo smell from our home. It would
be wonderful for anyone going through this type of treatment. We put it
in the den in the daytime and in the bedroom at nite and have a fresh
smell all the time.
Thanks so much!!! It is a wonderful
product. We would recommend it to anyone.

TO: Bob Giddens and EcoQuest
FROM: Jane De La Rosa, SD
SUBJECT : SafeHearth heaters
I wanted to share my experience with the SafeHearth heaters that I think
the world should know.
I live in Florida and the rest of my family lives in Pennsylvania. As
the Holidays were coming around I was going nuts trying to figure out
what I could get for my parents and a couple of Aunts that are all
retired, living on fixed incomes, in an area that sees plenty of cold
weather. Their gas bills to heat the home are rising constantly.
I saw the SafeHearth in the back of the catalog and just knew that was
going to be my gift to them. The safety features were the biggest
seller, the heating ability was next and the design was an added plus. I
am 3rd oldest of a family of 14 children which have blessed my parents
with 48 grand children and 4 great grandchildren. They all live in my
little home town but myself and my family, 3 of the grandchildren and 1
of the great grandchildren, and they all gather at my parents home every
day. I tell you this so you will understand why safety was the biggest
selling point. Their home is big and very old, with a full basement,
1st, 2nd and 3rd floor of living space.
When my parents received the boxes they were amazed. They hooked one up
in the living room and one in the hallway on the second floor where the
bedrooms and bath is located. The next morning, it was a very cold
blistery morning, my mother called with tears in her voice to tell me
what a pleasure it was to get up in the morning and have a nice warm
steady clean heat. The heater on the second floor filters into all the
rooms to include the 3rd floor. The heater on the first floor filters
throughout the entire area.
Once I knew how truly happy and warm they were and the cutback they
would have from the high gas bills, I knew my aunts could benefit from
this also. Once again, they love it.
One of my aunts had a plumbing problem about the time her heater arrived
and the plumber assisted her with placing it in the best spot and told
her he wanted one, too. He has placed his order and is waiting on his SafeHearth
to arrive.
This product is a real winner. The seasons are changing all over the
world and for my family the last few years have consisted of winter and
fall, very little summer or spring and heating bills are rising every
day.
This product should be promoted.

Thanks to
Sales Manager Tim Hundley
My EcoQuest friend Al Giordano in Chicago had a great
experience with BreezeAT. Al is an
Operations Manager with a Fork Lift company. Well, one
of their fork lifts came back from a rental where it had
been used on a loading dock or warehouse that handled
FISH!
"Oh my gosh," said Al. "It smelled so much like fish
that even after the general washing it still was too bad
to go back in service!"
Al put the forklift in a big
room with a
Breeze
sitting on the seat and covered the whole thing with a
tarp. He set it on HIGH and left it running overnight.
You know the end of this
story, right? Yes, the next day they uncovered the
forklift and even in the engine housing, the whole thing
smelled fresh as the air "after a thunderstorm."
We don't recommend pouring
tuna fish juice on the carpet in a prospect's house, but
I do suggest that you take your Fresh Air units out in
the field and see just what they WILL do for your
clients.

Customer Story and Testimonial
“I considered buying two Orecks but I would rather have one
Living Air.”
On June 30, 2004, I sent a
Fresh Air to Gxxxx Vxxxxxx in Orland Hills for a
3-day trial. Four days after receiving it he called me. The
night before he couldn't sleep and wound up watching an
infomercial. The price of an Oreck, he said, was half that of
the Fresh Air and he felt he had to try it. He wanted to send
back the Fresh Air.
Since I know our Fresh Air is the ONLY air purification system
that works, I told him not to send it back but to turn it off,
try the Oreck and let me know the results of his test. He
promised to be perfectly honest and said he would write, no
matter the outcome. This morning I received this email and
wanted to share it with you.
Sincerely,
Barbara Thaxton, CMIT (Manager-in-Training, Car qualified)
Living Åir Dealer, EcoQuest International
---
--- ---
Barbara,
I've completed my evaluation of the Oreck unit and decided to go
with the Living Air. As I promised, if I decided on Living Air,
I would write this message to thank you for your exceptional
support and honesty. While the price difference is significant,
I feel the Living Air is far superior to the Oreck. The room
simple feels cleaner and fresher with the Living Air. The Oreck
is little more than an "Ionic Breeze with a fan." It does what
it says it does, but that's not much! The fan is louder in all
modes except the "silence" mode. The selector switch has a
"cheap" feel and the only control I have is over the fan speed.
It also uses a charcoal filter to clean the air of odors and
that's a maintenance item.
If I wasn't aware of the Living Air I probably would be
satisfied with the Oreck and feel that it does more than the
Sharper Image unit but having tried the Living Air, it is now
apparent that the Oreck is a "Chevy" where the Living Air is a
"Porsche." I had considered buying two Orecks and spend $100
less but I would rather have one Living Air.
Please finalize the purchase and charge my credit card. Thank
you again for you patience.
Regards,
Gxxxx Vxxxxxx
