Health Hews and the Alkaline Water EBook
A couple
of days ago I spent $147.44 to order 500 Health News
newspapers (they arrived; I have used
them as samples for distributors, not for the public yet).
I did this based on Keith Jones's enthusiasm as
expressed on our morning nutrition call. Here are the
steps:
2. I clicked on their
little movie. It was good...a lot of hype but good.
3. Then I looked around to
see how to order and this step was not obvious.
The trick is to look in the left column and click on
Alkaline Antioxidant Water. That brings up an order
screen. I bought the $101.50 Business Builder
Prospecting Pack (choosing a mixed bag of
newspapers) and a $9.95 book called Acid &
Alkaline. I entered that I was a NEWCUSTOMER to get
the specials. With shipping, my total was $147.44.
The next
day I received an ebook marketing/prospecting system by
email. It is part of the NEWCUSTOMER pack (I
called them to find this out). It is active for a
month; thereafter it will cost $9.95 per month. I have
posted it on Chippynews.com. The link can be found under
"E" for EBook. Based on initial feedback, a lot of you
like it.
They
sent me a lead capture page and an
EBook. Here are the links they sent:
Their
system suggests that I send the first link (#1)
to prospects to generate interest (go
ahead and click just to look).
When
someone takes the "lead capture bait" I respond by
sending the second link (#2),
which is the 140-page EBook. It took me a while to
figure out that this was a readable book that allowed me
to turn the pages (using the controls at
the bottom). It cannot be printed or purchased as
a book. It is an EBook only and available by
subscription.
The
EBook contains 85 water testimonials and articles. I
read some and scanned the rest. One of the testimonial
individuals used to be in my Alpine group. I'm guessing
he ended up in Kangen and that's how his story found its
way to the book.
Is this
something you can use? That's for you to decide.
I'm rushing this information to my most active people so
you can view my EBook before my 30-day
free period runs out. You'll find the copyright and
disclaimers on the inside back cover (page
139).
My
feeling is that this will work for the right person and
that it will be a 30-day novelty for others. (I'm
guessing this might appeal to Karen, Dick, Al, Mary K,
Jimmy D, Jo Ann, Donna and Bea...and
I'm specifically urging HT McCants and Bill Perry to try
it.) If you buy 500 newspapers, this EBook
program comes with the package. Some people in my group
have used the newspapers in the past year. They like the
newspapers but the EBook system seems to be new.
On the
negative side, I'm uncomfortable with
the testimonials. I don't doubt that they all originated
as stories from the people whose names and photos are
used, but I get the feeling they were all edited by one
writer. So they sounds kind of "canned" to me. Part of
Chris Skala's testimonial sounded exactly like my wife's
migraine story. For a moment I wondered if the writer
had read Mila's story and changed the name (I
don't actually think that--just giving my impression). I'm
saying the stories all have a similar pace and style.
That made me wonder how a prospect would feel.
What do you think?
The real
proof of ionized, alkaline water is in the drinking of
it. This material is designed to help you sell people on
the idea of coming to your home to pick up free water
samples. A person who will take the time to try your
water, stop drinking other beverages and test their
body's response for 2 weeks might experience something
amazing and buy an ionizer. If they are ambitious,
entrepreneurial and talented they might build a network
and get rich.
If you start
5 such legs you will be a Ruby!
I'm not
going to be promoting this on Million Friends calls or
morning nutrition calls because it feels a little
foreign to me. That will change if one of you has
dramatic marketing results. We shall see. Today I'm just
inviting you to check this out.
Sincerely and enthusiastically,
