You may have reservations about multilevel marketing, and this I understand. LaundryPure changes the equation. My friend Jeff Kerr says, "One of my best methods of marketing air purifiers is through Trade Shows. I sell 10-20 air units in a typical 3-day show. With LaundryPure I'll sell 30-50 and here's the amazing thing. A third of those customers will also buy air purifiers—maybe at the same time, maybe a month later. So I've got a new product that people are clamoring to get...and that same product helps me sell as many air purifiers as I was selling anyway."
Back to Bob's story: I was attracted to this form of business because it offered the things I wanted in a career: «independence, «the chance to make a high, ongoing income, «a varied and interesting kind of work, «travel, and «the option to share my career with others. I wanted to be able «to use my leadership talents. I wanted «a career I could be proud of and a place where I could «make a difference.
It seems to me that everyone should want these things, and that belief empowers me as a recruiter!
It took me quite a while to find the right company. In 1970, I tried Amway temporarily and did not like their tactics. I was 28, a navy pilot, with plans to return to the civilian world. I moved to Shaklee after I left the navy and ran a successful business for 17 years. When I became unhappy with Shaklee's direction, I tried Eagle Shield and ATR, but both companies went under. I did the Phoenix Cookie Diet, WIN, Zenith and Fischer International (one by one, they all went down). Then came MXM Essential Formulas (it still exists) and Gold Unlimited (long gone).
My introduction to EcoQuest came in 1995. I finally found the company, product, program and vision I had always been looking for.
I'm neither proud nor ashamed of all these starts. I am simply a guy who wanted independence and wasn't going to stop looking until I found it! But let me tell you what I've learned. I know how tell a good opportunity from a bad one and good timing from bad timing. The timing and opportunity associated with LaundryPure are the best I have ever seen.
I wanted success and independence and wasn't going to stop looking until I found it!
If you are looking for an excellent opportunity and great timing, pull the trigger on this one. Get in all the way...work as hard and fast as you can. Contact everyone you know. If you are fully committed and really work at this, you'll have a good chance of succeeding. If you do it with reservations, who knows what you will be able to do?
If you are fully committed, you will immediately talk to your friends. Some will say no. But don't worry about the people who think you've gone off the deep end. Maybe their goals are different from yours. If one of them finds a "chance of a lifetime" deal, he'll run with it. That's what you have to do with this.
You'll have a sponsor (we all do); but do your own thinking and planning right from the beginning. Your choices and decisions can be influenced by your sponsor; but they are determined by you.
EcoQuest has the potential to expand dramatically because of LaundryPure, and who knows what other good technologies we will come up with (Mike Jackson hints that we will introduce two new blockbuster products at our Memphis Convention in August). But the LaundryPure time is now, now, now—for you, for your friends, and for their friends. A LaundryPure newcomer can be off to a fabulous start within sixty days.
It's like setting up one-tenth of a major career each time you find a committed leader. How many tenths can you find by August 31st? By December 31st? By the spring of 2007? Many people find their BEST leader well before they qualify as a Sales Manager. Why is this so common? Because we already know which of our friends are go-getters!
You should be thinking: If I don't get so-and-so, someone else will.
Millions of people will not hear about EcoQuest for years. No matter how many people we contact, there will still be tens of millions we don't have time to reach. They will miss the LaundryPure gravy days. We can't help that except by working with a sense of great urgency right now. Launch as many new Dealers as you can, in as many cities as you can, just as fast as you can.
Don't worry about the market drying up. This kind of product, like the washing machine, will still be selling even after 100 million of them are out there in homes. TV sets are still selling. Microwaves are still selling. Refrigerators are still selling. Air purifiers are still selling. The reason we must promote this and work with a sense of urgency is that this is a special time.
Can you start 10 Working Legs (groups that are producing new Dealers—also called Business Owners—and contain competent leaders) by the end of the summer or by the end of the year? You'll have a busy fall and a Merry Christmas if you do; and you will make a solid six figure income in 2007. If you miss your 10 Leg Goal and end up with 5, you'll have a solid Managership...a bonus car...and you'll be on track to make six figures before long.
Where do you stand career wise? Are you happy? Is your retirement secure? It will not be easy to build a six-figure career—we are not promising easy success. But this may be your best chance ever! Will you climb the highest mountain? Will you talk to hundreds of people? Will you stand tall as a leader when problems come along? Will you find ways to serve your people? Recruiting good talent is vital, and I want you to go for it; however, the top rewards go to those who are best at helping and serving.
We must not forget air purification or our consumable products. The frenzy we're about to enjoy in 2007/08 will have LaundryPure as its focus. But a serious person MUST learn about and promote our other lines. Our theme is Healthy Living Technologies and we really mean it.
Present the "Buy 1-Buy 4" concept and don't let up. Step #1 is to place your own order. Step #2 is to make a list of the Top Six people you can offer this to. Reach out to those six by phone immediately...and then start working on another Top Six.
Get involved with the other technologies as soon as you begin thinking of EcoQuest as a serious thing. As finances permit, get a Success Pack. Put an air purifier and water system in your home. Set up a Triple-A order and start using our consumables. Look into the meaning of turning your home into an EcoCertified Home. And set up a Mini Office. While you are doing all these things, keep your biggest focus on showing the "Buy 1/Buy 4" program...and work with a sense of urgency.
Sincerely, Bob Giddens (updated on 4/23/2006)
PS - Most people won't actually write out a plan and stick with it. They may buy 4 LaundryPures (that's an easy decision)—but that will be the end of their ambition. I can't explain why things are like they are. They just are. A recruiter has to get five times as many people as he thinks he needs. But it's still worth doing!
Below you will see the same testimonial as is offered at the top of this webpage. By reducing the size of the type and photo, I have made it easier for you to cut and paste this into your promotional emails. This story really captures people's attention!
